Frequently Asked Questions
To place an order for your custom sneakers, send me a Direct Message on Instagram @maddiecustoms or email me at maddiehcook@gmail.com.
How does pricing work?
Pricing for a custom pair of sneakers varies based on the complexity of the design, the amount of paint used, and the time required to complete it. My base rate starts at $200 and on average most clients spend between $350–$550 for the completed artwork, not including the cost of the sneakers.
Here's what you can expect regarding costs:
Sketch Fee: Charged for initial design concepts.
Artwork Cost: Based on the specific design chosen.
Rush Fee: Applies for last-minute orders, if necessary.
Additional Revisions: May be extra depending on feedback.
Please note that the sneakers must be provided as I do not keep stock available.
What sneakers can you paint on?
I can paint on leather or canvas sneakers that have a good paintable surface. While Air Force 1's are the most popular, I've also painted on Jordan 1’s, Old Skool Vans, Converse, and more. However, I cannot paint on sneakers made of mesh, rubber or plastic, as the paint won’t adhere properly. If you’re wondering whether I can paint on a specific pair of sneakers send me a DM or email.
Will the paint come off?
You can rest assured that the paint should not come off. I use Angleus leather acrylic paint, specifically designed for sneakers, which flows with the movement of the shoe. I have a Reel on my Instagram that demonstrates aftercare for your customs, located in the “Aftercare” highlight.
How long does the process take?
The time it takes to create your custom shoes can vary based on my current order queue. My turnaround time changes depending on the time of year and can range from a few weeks to over 5 months. Please keep this in mind when placing an order as a gift. Because each pair is uniquely designed for the client, the painting process might range from three days to three weeks, depending on the detail involved in your design.
