Maddie specializes in the creation of custom, hand-painted designs on sneakers, pushing the boundaries of wearable art. Her work transforms everyday footwear into distinct canvases, blending artistic expression with personal style.

Maddies expertise in custom designs has led to collaborations with several prominent brands and organizations. These include brands such as Jack Daniels and Coca Cola, and the Calgary Surge Basketball Team, the Calgary Wild FC and more. She has also partnered with Crossiron Mills shopping centre and PARK, and has work featured at Earls Southcentre Mall.

Having worked with hundreds of individuals to create sneakers that suit their style, Maddie is always focused on blending personal expression with comfort and craftsmanship.

Hi, I’m Maddie!

I am a 26-year-old artist living in Calgary, Alberta. I have loved art ever since I was a kid. I took any art class that was offered from elementary up until high school, which is when I knew I wanted to pursue art as a career. I attended the University of Calgary and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Visual Studies degree. Maddie Customs was created after I painted a pair of Air Force 1s for a friend back in April of 2020, and since then, I have painted over 500 pairs of shoes.

As a passionate sneaker enthusiast with a deep love for art, I truly love painting and designing shoes. To me, sneakers are more than just footwear; they are a canvas for self-expression. Unlike traditional art, which is confined to gallery walls, custom sneakers travel with their owners, becoming an accessible part of their daily lives. Each pair is a unique, one-of-a-kind creation tailored specifically to my client's interests. My portfolio showcases a diverse range of designs, from popular anime and floral patterns to team logos and iconic album covers.
